Location: Remote within the USA
The Field Application Engineer is responsible for technical sales, technical marketing & technical support of relays and recorders. This role may also provide some support for our optical sensor products.
Key responsibilities include:
Analyzes customer requirements for protective relay & fault recorder applications, Writes application notes & attends/presents at technical seminars, conferences & industry meetings, Facilitates the sales process by promoting company products to potential & existing customers, Trains direct sales staff, agents & customers within territory, Promotes company products through technical presentations, training & on-site support, Designs solutions for protection & metering systems, incorporating company products, Participates actively in the preparation of proposals & sales follow-up, Coordinates after-sale customer support, Interfaces with product management on sales/marketing strategy & product enhancement, Performs other responsibilities as required
Applicant must have a strong background in protective relaying applications. Qualifications include a relevant degree, with 4 or more years of related technical and/or management experience in roles of increasing responsibility, or equivalent combination. This position requires 25-40% travel.
