(Communications Technician)

Positions are duty-stationed in sunny Phoenix, AZ or Las Vegas, Nevada.

Position is responsible for performing maintenance to Western’s fiber optic, microwave, radio and POT communication system, and will be participating in the checkout and placing in service of new facilities and additions to existing facilities in a safe and efficient manner. AAS degree electrical engineering technology or related discipline or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

Also required is work experience at journeyman-level not only concerned with the testing, maintenance and repair of microwave systems, but also fiber optics, radios, RTUs and other electrical power system communications equipment. Experience working independently and in remote locations is highly desirable. Must be willing to travel. Competitive rate of pay.
